Resources

For the experienced user, we provide our most flexible product, Standard Imagery. Each Standard Image is radiometrically calibrated, corrected for sensor and platform-induced distortions and mapped to a cartographic projection. Standard Images are well suited for visual analysis image classification and as a backdrop for GIS and mapping applications that require a modest level of accuracy. More sophisticated users can start with our Standard Imagery, apply their own Digital Elevation data and ground control points and create very accurate orthorectified imagery.

Benefits

Georeferenced to a cartographic projection Industry standard projections and datums

  • 6.5 m (21 ft) CE 90% - WorldView-1
  • 23 m (75 ft) CE 90% - QuickBird

Locate features in map coordinate space

High-resolution

  • 50 cm (1.6 ft) panchromatic – WorldView-1
  • 60 cm (2 ft) or 70 cm (2.3 ft) panchromatic, natural color, color infrared, or 4-band pan sharpened – QuickBird
  • 2.4 m (8 ft) or 2.8 m (9.2 ft) multispectral – QuickBird

Identify features, classify image data, and detect changes from recent global imagery at the highest resolution available from commercial imaging satellites

Large image swath collection size

  • 17.6 km (10.9 mi) width at nadir – WorldView-1
  • 16.5 km (10.3 mi) width at nadir – QuickBird

Map large areas faster with fewer files to manage and process

Small minimum order size

  • 25 km2 (9.6 mi2) - archive
  • 64 km2 (24.7 mi2) - new collects

Purchase only the geographic coverage you need for your project

Superior image classification and analysis

  • 11 bit digitization (up to 2,048 levels of gray scale)
  • Discrete non-overlapping spectral bands

Improve feature classification and identification in dark or bright areas such as building shadows or snow and experience more flexible image enhancement

Open systems

  • Partnered with commercial software providers
  • Popular image file formats

Get your project up and running quickly and easily based on standard map projections and formats

    Deliverables

Standard Imagery can be acquired directly from the DigitalGlobe archive or you can submit a new collection request. Standard Imagery is ordered by area, with a minimum purchase of 25 km2 (~10 mi2) for archive orders. For tasking, the minimum area for ordering is 25 km2 (~10 mi2), but minimum pricing rules apply, depending on the tasking level selected. If your order crosses more than one strip, one standard imagery product per scene is delivered.

Products are delivered on your choice of standard digital media with Image Support Data files including image metadata.

    * Distribution and use of imagery at better than .50 m GSD pan and 2.0 m GSD multispectral is subject to prior approval by the U.S. Government.
