DigitalGlobe Successfully Launches WorldView-2

The WorldView-2 satellite launched on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at 11:51 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. WorldView-2 is DigitalGlobe’s most recent high-resolution, remote-sensing satellite and the only commercial high-resolution satellite with eight-band multispectral capability.
