Jill Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer
Jill is a veteran corporate leader with a long history of strategic management and successful brand building. Jill previously led eDial, Treacy and Company, LLC and SRDS, LP and held executive positions at Micron Electronics, Inc., Sara Lee Corporation and Bain and Company. Jill holds a master’s degree in business administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Yancey Spruill, Chief Financial Officer
Yancey has over 14 years of professional experience across several industries. Yancey held positions in the Investment Banking group at Thomas Weisel Partners, as well as positions at Lehman Brothers and J.P. Morgan and Company. Yancey graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and a master’s degree in business administration from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Scott Smith, Chief Operating Officer
Scott has more than 24 years of experience in the aerospace and commercial remote sensing industries. Scott previously held sales, engineering and management positions at Space Imaging and Lockheed Martin. Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from Stanford University.
Dr. Walter Scott, Chief Technical Officer
Walter has over 24 years of experience in sophisticated space, defense, computing and remote sensing programs. Before founding DigitalGlobe in 1992, Walter was an assistant associate director at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in the physics department. Walter received a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics, magna cum laude, from Harvard University and master’s and doctorate degrees in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Steve Milton, Vice President of Software and Systems
Steve has over 18 years of experience developing and deploying software systems with customers such as HP, AT&T, Ford and Sprint. Steve previously served as CTO at Enservio, where he built the technical teams and drove the product and technical service roadmap of the company. He previously held positions at Anderson Consulting, Nuance and Trilogy. Steve earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas.
Marc Tremblay, General Manager of Commercial Business Unit
Marc brings over 15 years of executive experience in a variety of functional disciplines including business development, product management, engineering and operations. Marc previously held positions at Z Corporation, Syncline, Inc. and Virtual Technologies. Marc earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, master’s and doctorate degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School.
Jeff Kerridge, General Manager of Defense and Intelligence Business Unit
Since joining DigitalGlobe in 1996, Jeff has held several positions in the Defense and Intelligence Business Unit including director of D&I sales, vice president of sales and marketing and manager of government relations. Prior to joining DigitalGlobe, Jeff spent 12 years with the CIA’s national photographic interpretation center. Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
