ERDAS IMAGINE-Digitalglobe 2012 Geospatial Challenge

Intergraph and DigitalGlobe are pleased to offer a geospatial challenge for the ERDAS IMAGINE community to exploit WorldView-2 using the power and flexibility of ERDAS IMAGINE tools.

ERDAS IMAGINE is the ideal tool for working with WorldView-2's rich set of spectral information, from an easy to use set of pre-defined band combinations for deciding on the best way to display the data, to the flexibility offered by the graphical Model Maker environment for designing and sharing new image analysis algorithms.

ERDAS IMAGINE enables you to fully exploit and uncover all the information inherent in WorldView-2 imagery, including advanced image classification algorithms such as Spectral Angle, Spectral Correlation, Subpixel Classification and Object Oriented Image Analysis.

Enter the 2012 Geospatial Challenge to get free imagery for your study and a chance to win five (5) WorldView-2 scenes of your choice anywhere across the globe from the DigitalGlobe archive. In addition, our three finalists will be sent to present at ASPRS in Sacramento, CA March 21-23, 2012.

DigitalGlobe will make 8-band imagery available to qualifying contestants to exploit WorldView-2 imagery using ERDAS IMAGINE for:

  • Spatial Modeling and Analysis
  • Image Visualization
  • Image Processing
  • Stereo Compilation and Elevation Modeling
  • Image Analysis
  • Feature Extraction
  • and more...

Submit your Proposal by December 20th

All accepted proposals will be granted a pre-defined set of free 8-band multispectral imagery, in order to conduct the study. Completed papers will be evaluated by a panel of experts from Intergraph and DigitalGlobe who will select a winning paper.

The winner will be announced on March 1, 2012.
